Richard Ayton
Position: Director
Managing Director
Richard has been heavily involved with the rapid growth of Kerikeri, from a small horticultural town to the commercial and residential centre of the Bay of Islands, in the last 20 years.
Specialising in commercial and property law, means that Richard has handled the legal work for a lot of the commercial and residential developments in the area.
Horticulture, although not as important as in Kerikeri’s earlier years, is still a major industry in Kerikeri and Richard has considerable experience in this area.
The Bay of Islands attracts a lot of overseas interest and Richard’s clients include recent immigrants and non residents who have invested in the area. As a result, he has experience in overseas investment, immigration and the tax issues involved.
When not being a lawyer, Richard has been involved in horticulture and beef farming. He has also spent a lot of time yacht racing, competing in many offshore races, including 3 Sydney to Hobart’s (all this while bringing up children and step children makes for an interesting life).
If you require advice regarding commercial or property law, or are considering immigrating to New Zealand or acquiring land while a non resident, Richard is the person to contact.
Richard is also the firms Managing Director and should be contacted regarding management and employment enquiries.
